Full text of the marker: “Here rest the remains of JOHN DAVIS Born March 30, 1732, Died Nov. 17, 1815. & HANNAH CROSS, His wife Born Aug. 31, 1735, Died Sep. 17, 1806. And two of their sons, viz. DANIEL, born May 31, 1763, Died March 20, 1842. ELISHA, born May 22, 1765, Died Dec. 26, 1805. All of Methuen. Erected in 1842, by JOHN DAVIS.”
