Person:John Davies (20)

John's earliest occupation was as a corporal in the 33rd Regiment of Foot. After leaving the army, he worked as a bookkeeper, and later joined the Liverpool Police Force (1881), retiring in 1888. All of his and Mary's children were born in Liverpool. His eldest son, John Muir Davies, was my grandfather. I don't know much about the rest of the family, except that his youngest daughter, Agnes, was listed in the 1901 as a "sick nurse". The last name was later changed to "Davis".
