According to the History of Ancient Wethersfield, Sgt. John3 was the town's excise collector in 1692, he drew land in Wethersfield's 1694 allotment of the town's common land, and was a member of the school committee in 1702. His will dated ___ devised the use of all his lands, and his Negro Jacob, to wife Elizabeth for the benefit of the children. His estate inventory taken on ___ by ____ totaled £1004-15-09.
