John Thomas Crumrine.
Son of William Crumrine and Lydda Ross; born at Morris Township, Penn., December 24, 1846; was graduated from Waynesburg College, 1871; took the full course in this Seminary [Andover Theological Seminary], and was graduated in 1874. He was licensed to preach by the Andover Association, June 24, 1873.
He was ordained, July 28, 1874, as pastor at Waterville, Me., where he remained for a year; was acting pastor, Chiltonville, Mass., 1877; Northbridge, Mass., 1877-80; resident licentiate in this Seminary, 1880-81; acting pastor, Baldwinsville, Mass., 1881-82; residing at Lindly's Mills, Penn., 1882; pastor of Presbyterian church, Little Redstone, Penn., 1882-85; stated supply, Presbyterian church, Coudersport, Penn., 1885-87; pastor, Presbyterian church, Cochranton, Penn., 1887-90; without charge, Boston, Mass., 1890-91; pastor, First Presbyterian Church, Cedarville, N. J., 1891-92; pastor, Presbyterian church, Manchester, N. Y., 1892-94; evangelist, Washington, Penn., 1894-95; acting pastor, Presbyterian church, Colchester, N. Y., 1895-96; pastor, Presbyterian church, Mason City, Ill., 1896 until his death.
He married, 1881, Abbie Rixford, who survives him, with six children.
Mr. Crumrine died at Mason City, 1ll., June 30, 1899, aged fifty-two years, six months, and six days.
