From Some Descendants of John Counts of Glade Hollow book, page 76. John Counts was born about 1765 and died Oct 1, 1843, at Cleveland, Russell Co, VA, where he had lived for more than 55 years. For that reason and because there have been so many John Countses in Russell Co, he is known as "John Counts of Cleveland." His parents were John and Mary Magdeline Counts, who moved from Shenandoah Co, VA, in 1789, and settled in Glade Hollow, Russell Co, VA. For that reason his father is known as "John Counts of Glade Hollow"...
