JOHN CORBIN, JUNIOR was born on September 25, 1671 in St. Mary's Parrish, Richmond County, Virginia.

John married ELIZABETH SMITH on August 10, 1696 in Richmond County, Virginia.

John died on April 25, 1748 in Stafford County, Virginia.

Information obtained from the book ALLIED FAMILIES by A. M. Prichard states in 30 Virginia Magazine 309, it appears that John Corbin of Portobago, Essex County ( who was the son of Gawin and the grand son of Henry), B: July , 1815 D: August 8, 1857 Married Lettice Lee B: 1714 D: January 14, 1768 daughter of Richard Lee. John Corbin died instate, and on the January 15, 1758 Letita Corbin qualified as his administrator along with John Corbin and John Lee as he sureties. Assuming that the magazine has recited the facts, the John Corbin who acted as surety may have bee and most likely was the John Corbin of King George County hereafter mentioned, for King George lies adjacent to the part of Essex which after became a part of Caroline County in which Portobago is located. This appears to indicate a relationship, and the dates of record make it entirely possible for John Corbin Sr. of Richmond County to have been a son of Henry Corbin by a previous marriage, if such a marriage really occurred according to the family tradition of Henry being married on several occasions.

The first record of John Sr. appears in Richmond County in 1692 when the county was formed, but in 1696 Robert Waight sold John Corbin and Elizabeth his wife a parcel of land in Richmond County. The deed went on to say that the land was given to Robert Waight sister Elizabeth Vickers by his deceased father John Waight, and then sold by her to William Smith the father of Elizabeth Corbin. By the information obtained from this document it confirms the marriage of John Corbin Sr. and Elizabeth Smith.

On March 2, 1737 a deed was issued by John Corbin Sr. of Brunswick Parrish in King George County to his son John Corbin Jr. giving him a 50 acre gift of land in Brunswick Parrish, King George County

John Sr. stayed in King George on property that he bought from Richard Shippe in 1692 until he acquired land called the " Great Run of the Watery Mountain" on June 10, 1728. This area is located 4 or 5 miles N.E. of Warrington, Va. in Fauquier and flows S. until it reaches the Rappahannock River a few miles S. of White Sulphur Springs in Fauquier County Va. This is where John Corbin Sr. died and all of his lands and property passed to his eldest son John Jr.
