    Will of "John Collings of Chatham" dated 12 Mar 1749, proved 28 Jun 1765, mentions wife Hannah; sons Solomon, John, Joseph, David and Samuel; daughters Martha wife of Moses Godfrey, Jane wife of Benjamin Bearse, and Anna wife of Jonathan Crowell; grandchild Stephen Smith son to my daughter Hannah deceased. Codicil dated 10 Aug 1756 says Jane is the widow of Benjamin Bearse.
