I John Clayton of the Parish of Newport in the County of Isle of Wight being in perfect health and of sound mind do make this my last Will and Testement in manner following, that is to say - I give unto my Son George Clayton and his Wife the Use and Labour of four Negros; that is to say David, Dick, James & Grimage during their natural Lives and after their Decease I give the said Negros and all their Increase from the date of my Will to be equally divided between my Sons surviving Children and their Heirs forever - I give unto my Son William Clayton the Use and Labour of two negros that is to say Sa___ & M__ia to him and his Wife during their natural Lives & after their Decease I give the aforesaid Negros and all their Increase from the date of my Will I give the said Negros and their Increase to be equally divided between my Sons surviving Children & their Heirs forever. I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth Miller the use and Labour of five negros that is so say Phillis, Bristol, Sam, Peter & Jenny during her natural Life & after her Decease I give the aforesaid Negros to my Grandaughter Elizabet Miller & all their Increase from the Date of my Will to her and her Heirs forever and if my Grandaughter should Die without Heirs then I give the aforesaid Negros & their Increase to be equaly divided between my three GrandSons John Miller, Robert Pinhorn Miller & Bejamin Miller & their Heirs forever - I give unto my Daughter Mary Verlines the Use & Labour of three Negros that is to say Grimage, Joe and Hannah to her and her Husband during their natural Lives and after their Decease I give the aforesaid Negros to be equally Divided between my said Daughter's surviving Children and their Heirs forever. I also give unto my Daugher Susannah Williamson one Negro Man named Bob one Bed and Furniture one Chest some Pewter to her and Her Heir forever. I give unto my Daughter Rebeckah Miller and her Husband Thomas Miller the Use & Labour of one Negro woman named Jenny and after their Decease I give the said Negro Woman and all her Increase from the Date of my Will to be equally divided between my Daugher's surviving children & their Heirs forever. I also give my Daughter Six Pounds Cash to her and hers forever - I give unto my Son John Clayton and his wife the Use & Labour of three Negros to wit Lidia, Daniel & Fanny and after their Decease I give the said Negros and all their Increase from the date of my Will to be equally divided between my Sons surviving children & their Heirs forever. I also give my son John one bed of furniture to him and his Heirs forever - All the remainder of my Estate I give unto my Son John and Twaites Verlines to be equally Divided between them. I nominate constitute and appoint my Son John Clayton & Twaites Verlines my Exec. ______all former Wills by me made.
