Will Abstract
- John Carney made out his will in 1775 , probated in 1780 stating “to Susannah……. To John, son of Thomas and to Thomas son of Thomas when comes of age (at this time Thomas is a minor).The will indicates John never married and that his brother Thomas has at least 3 children.some have assumed that the Thomas who died in 1744 is this John’s brother. Not so, since Thomas who is mentioned in the will is a minor in 1775 his birth date would have to be much later than 1744. Source: Genealogy.com
