Parish records of St. Thomas of Canterbury, Ramsey, indicate John and Susa nna were married on October 12, 1789. Only 7 children were baptized altho ugh there may be an eighth child, Jane Jemima. Jane was witness to Susann a's wedding and Thomas and Mary Maynard were witnesses at her wedding to W illiam Lant.

Parish records also record a John Butcher, who was baptized on May 20, 174 7, son of William and Jane Butcher. However, this date would make John ag ed 42 at the time of his wedding, which is possible but does not seem like ly. William Butcher married Jane Leeke in Ramsey on 26 Jan 1746/7, acco rding to the CD English Parish Records: Huntingdonshire, Ancestry.com.

LDS Internet site provided the following data: 1. John Butcher married Susannah Harper on Oct 12, 1789 at Ramsey, Huntin gdon, England. Film 962538. 2. John Butcher was born about 1764. Film 962425, page 32, Ref 44095. It is not known upon what information this data is based.

Burial Registers for St. Thomas a Becket, Ramsey, Huntingdonshire, Englan d, shows: "Jan 14, 1813 Butcher, John aged 55 years"
