- ↑ Source:Jackson, Francis. History of the Early Settlement of Newton, County of Middlesex, Massachusetts, from 1639 to 1800, p. 244, says John Burrage m. Lydia Ward, and another John Burrage, "sup[posed] s[on] of John and Lydia" m. Sarah. This appears to be an error caused by incorrectly applying one of two death records to this Lydia: one of "old" widow Burrage in 1745 which couldn't be her since John d. 1765, meaning he could not have a widow in 1745; the other death a child of John, not a wife.
