John H. Burke, 73, Topeka, died this morning at a local hospital.
He was born April 8, 1898 at Vienna, Ill., and was a resident of Topeka for 46 years.
Mr. Burke was a retired head of electrical construction at Topeka State Hospital and also worked for S.A. Selentick Construction Engineers.
His wife, Mrs. Hortense Burke, died May 7, 1970.
He was a member of Seabrook Masonic Lodge No.385, the Elks Lodge and First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Miss Helen Maxine Burke, of the home, a teach of Linn Elementary School.
Services will be Saturday at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
