The grave of John helps to fix the location of this branch of Bacons on the farm of the Morey Brothers. The following is an inscription on the marble slab at Moreys: "John Brentnal died April 29, 1863 in the 60th year of his age," and a verse starting thus: "Peacefully rest his body, Beneath the grassy sod."
