John Breeding was born about 1768, and on 1 Jan 1789 at Lincoln County, Kentucky, married Elizabeth Powell. John died in 1838 at Adair County, Kentucky. Marriage date is the date of the marriage bond. John fought as an Indian spy at the Battle of Pleasant Point in Lord Dunmore War, 1774. It is also believed that he was with Clark's Illinois Regiment on the western frontier in 1781.
