"The Boyd family emigrated from Ireland to Innisfil Township. Shortly aft er 1861 John, his children Thompson, Sarah and Thomas moved to Longfor d. By 1891, James Boyd's Widow, Catherine had moved to Longford with h er youngest son, James. It was interesting to not that Thompson Boyd will ed his propeerty to his daughter Ann Jane (m. Tahaney)."
