In 1671 and years afterwards, he was a rep. of the General Court. He m. second [Jacobus[1] gives him only the two wives] Abigail Marvin (dau of Matthew who came from London, EN). She was born at Hartford abt. 1640 and d. at Norwalk CT abt 1672. John m. third [second] Mrs. Mary Stevenson, widow of Jonathan Stevenson who was killed in a swamp fight with the Indians near Norwalk CT. He gave his land to his sons John and Matthew as appears on the Norwalk town records and at his death, 1704/5, in Danbury CT. He left an estate, part of which is still in the hand of descendants (1888), now over 200 years. Will in Fairfield CT records.
