  • John Boone signed a work permit in London on 24 January 1735 with a Neal MacNeal to work on a Plantation for five years in Pennsylvannia. In the work permit, it says John Boon of Bedford and late of Portsmouth, England. Five years later he was living in King George County Virginia. Moved to Athens, Kentucky in the early 1800's.
  • King George County Virginia Court Records: Will of John Boon dated 15 January 1776 and signed and probated March 1776 and of his only son mentioned in his will, William Boon
  • John Boone and his wife, Keziah, sold 557 acres to Caleb Smith also of King George Co., 557 acres. William's "will" is recorded on 2/17/1792 also in King George Co. Virginia Court House. December 6, 1770 William Boone, along with Moses Green and John Robinson, was sworn as a Deputy Sheriff of King George Co. Virginia.
