Will

Will of John Bowling Senior of the County of Pittsylvania and State of Virginia
First my will is that Margaret my daughter should have one bed and furniture, also to Sarah Bowling my Granddaughter one Bed and furniture.
It is my will that my grandaughter Mary Price should have one Bed and furniture to have possession of the said property above named at my death.
It is my will that my wife Mary shall have my house, land and all the property to dispose of as she may think best during her life and after her death it shall be Eaquilly divided between such as I shall name William Bowling, John Bowling, Smithe Bowling, Elizabeth Parrish, Rachel Popejoy, Margaret Bowling, Sarah Bowling and Mary Price my Grandaughter.
William Bowling shall have eighty? Dollars at the division Entry of his part ~ and fifty dollars due the estate by John Bowling Junior at the division.
I also appoint James Riddle and James A. Giles as Executors to this my last will and Testament revoking all this will or wills whatever.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of January Eighteen Hundred and thirty four.

At a Court held for Pittsylvania County the 18th day of August 1834
This last will and Testament of John Bowling Dec'd was presented in Court and proven by the oaths of three subscribing witnesses and Ordered to be Recorded.
James Riddle and James A. Giles the Executors in said will named who made oath according to I and with Pleasant Thacker? and Hezekiah Giles their securities entered into and ackknwledged as the Law directs certificate was granted him for obtaining probat of said will in due form.
