At some time John moved to Idaho.

In an obituary from the Wood River Times, Hailey, Idaho 17th Nov. 19 02 it was stated that "John was a prominent miner and still owned a mi ll at bullion and was operating the Jay Gould mine when he died. He al so was the owner of the Black Hart Ranch, of some live stock, and of oth er propeerty. But his life was not insured" John died on November 16t h, 1902 of pneumonia in Buillion, Alturas CO Idaho


John was naturalized a U.S citizen on October 2, 1888 in Hailey, Blai ne CO Idaho
