    Beach, John. Came to New Haven with bros. Richard and Thomas, perhaps 1639, but first mentioned 1643 and took oath of fidelity the following year; rem. to Stratford 1652, and was an original proprietor of Wallingford 1670, but retained Stratford residence. Died 16 June 1677, called Sr. of Stratford (probate rec.) ; Inv. of property at Stratford and Wallingford, amounting to about £344. Agreement 6 Nov. 1677 made by children who were of age, signed by John and Thomas Beach, Elizabeth Preston, and Mary Beach; they appointed Capt. Wm. Curtis, Mr. Israel Chauncey and Jehiel Preston, overseers of Est. and children in Stratford, and Mr. John Moss and Eliasaph Preston for those in Wallingford. Names and birth dates of the ten children given. Wife was called Mary at birth of child 1674.
