In Filby and Meyer's PASSENGER AND IMMIGRATION LISTS INDEX (R24a) are 25-30 BARNETTs, all but one of whom arrived in Virginia before 1700. The earliest noted were John, age 26, and Thomas, age 16, who come in 1620. Hotten (R42) records that John BARNETT was living at the Eastern Shore of Virginia 16 Feb. 1623, and Thomas BARNETT was living at Aourdien Hundred at the same time. Hotten's list of Musters of the Inhabitants in Virginia 1624: 

    "Dead at Chaplins Choise - 1624  William Barnett in the Truelove  1623

    "The MUSTER of m'Edward Blaney - James City - Servant's  John Barnett
            aged 26 yeares in the Jonathan  -  1620.

    "The Muster of St. George Yearley Ky &ct.  Thomas Barnett 16 in the
            Elizabeth  -  1620."
