    Mar 1776: Bulah Ball granted permission to sell real estate by House of Representatives to "pay Margaret Houghton who was the widow of the father of the Deceased in Lieut of her dower" while "Bulah the widow of s'd decs'd shall have the intrest of one third ... the principal shall be paid the heirs ... applyed for payment of such Debtes of the Deceased"
    5 Jun 1777: accounting of Bulah Ball administratrix on the Estate of John Ball late of Spencer. Judge's approval distributes to Margaret Houghton, to widow, to Daniel Ball the eldest son, and the "other five children".
    [Note: Case 2986: Ball, Daniel & als. Spencer, Guardian 1777, contains the appointment on 14 Feb 1777 of William Frink, physician, as guardian for Daniel age 11, Eleazer age 9, Sybel age 8, Sarah age 5, Mehitable age 3, and John age 1.]

  4.   The above probate may (or may not) provide a useful clue to the identity of the second wife of Deacon Eleazer Ball, since it refers to Margaret Houghton. In 1771 Margaret Ball of Paxton published intentions with James Houghton of Lancaster. This may or may not be the widow of Eleazer Ball?
