    John Homer Baker, 70, of 1903 Karen St, died yesterday, Apr 17, 1977.
    Services will be a 2 pm today in Schooler-Gordon Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Thompson, pastor of the San Jacinto Baptist Church, officiating. Additional services will be held Wed. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas. Mr Baker had lived in Amarillo for the past 20 years. He had been a US Meat Inspector for 20 yrs. He was a member of the Men’s Bowling Association and had worked with the Boy Scouts, and with the girls softball team in Topeka. Survivors include his wife Irene, Two daughters, Betty and William H Smith of St. Charles, MO, and Linda Lu & Dennis J Kellog of Amarillo; two sons, Robert H and James Richard Baker, both of Topeka; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    Born April 11, 1906 in Topeka Kansas, he was the son of Homer Ernest Baker and Lulu Burns.
