1. Family was in Traill Co, ND from abt 1876 to 1888. 2. John had a wooden leg, fitted after a farm machine accident, probably in Traill Co, ND. 3. John and family came to Gilbert AZ in abt 1888/89 with the Fred Weekes family. Anderson farm was on Gilbert Rd., Mesa, AZ. 4. Came to USA about 1871 Based on childrens's ages and place of birth listed in 1880 Census, arrived about 1875-77. His daughter, Mary, says on 1920 Census that she came to US in 1879. 5. Came to CA about 1913 6. His brother, William Anderson, and wife Mary lived several houses away in Traill. (1880 Census) 7. Year of naturalization - 1912 . 8. His middle name may be from Charles Logie, a Scottish minister who lived in York (Toronto). Charles was about the same age as George Anderson. 9. "George Anderson" was a witness at John's marriage; probably his brother. 10. John lives alone in 1900 Census, reports he came to US in 1875, and is a naturalized citizen. Farm schedule #271 11. Elizabeth is with him on 1910 Census; they have 8 children, 6 living. Farm schedule #260. 12. In 1920, John is alone, living at 1603 Venice Blvd; he is the landlord.
