139. John Alexander (p. 259), 15 May 1798, grandson John Jourdan, daughter Agness Copeland, daughter Mary Jordan, daughter Jane Alexander and Rebecca, grandson John Jordan, grandson John Campbell. Residual heirs his daughters Agness, Mary, Jane, Ruth, and Rebeccah. Executors his friends John Jordan and James Alexander Jr. Witnesses George Alexander, Josiah Alexander, William Johnston, James Fulton. Proved 12 Jan 1802.

After the death of John Alexander, his land was sold by his executors, John Jordan and James Alexander. In the land transaction of 1803, it noted that John was a son of James Alexander and Mary Steele.
