Will of John Adair
- John Adair's Will
- To my sister Jane Adair all my household and kitchen furniture while she lives.
- To my sister Mrs. Mary McCorkle $100 to be paid by Exor two years after my death.
- To my niece Mrs. Martha G. Mitchell of State of Iowa, $20.
- To my nephew James McD. Adair $5.00.
- To my brother Saml. Adair $5.00.
- To my nephew John G. Adair, my entire interest in 53 Acres known as "the Big Spring tract" except my water rights to the Big Spring.
- My farm to be divided as follows: Beginning at a pine stump, 2 gums and red oak pointer corner to John G. Adair on east side of my house, West, new line to a white oak near Grainary, Southwest with public road, bearing right at mouth of land to White oak and 2 hickories near a hollow corner to William Chaplin.
- Portion of my lands lying in front of the house and South east of said vending line to my niece Florence M. Adair and her heirs forever. She to give to her brother Saml. A. Adair privileges of watering his stock at the ponds on her lands.
- Portion of my lands lying on the northwest side of aforesaid dividing line with all buildings to nephew Samuel A. Adair and all my stock Horses, Cattle hogs and farming utensils & c to at sister Jane's death.
- Appoint my nephew Samuel A. Adair my Executor. He to collect and have all my claims against Estate.

- 4 May 1885- produced in court by John Adair. Robt. A. McKemy Saml. L. Kirkpatrick, and Robert E. McCown made oath it was in testator's hand. Samuel A. Adair, Executor made oath with J. L. Morrison and Wm. W. Dunlap his securities-- Bond of $1600. Certificate granted-- value of estate to not exceed $2800. $2.80 taxes paid on the probate
