  3. That Joanna married Joseph Morse is known by marriage record and his signing of documents in her father's probate. Which Joseph Morse is harder to determine. A woman b. 1715 marrying in 1753 is undoubtedly marrying an older man, and this man not only is that, he also names his wife Joanna in his will. Of course, Joanna's father left Joanna only personal property and so there will be no deed selling land that formerly belonged to Jonathan Newton to find. However, dozens of deeds of Joseph Morse in both Middlesex and Worcester counties were examined. None belonged to this man since he died so soon, and none named a wife Joanna, but more than that, it is believed to be possible to identify that each other Joseph Morse had a wife named other than Joanna, so nothing is known to contradict this identification. What happened to Joanna after her husband died has not been determined.
