Facts and Events
After Hannah and Karl Erik (Charles) had three children, Charles went to America to work. Hannah lived in Sweden alone with the children before following him two years later in 1895. Johanna’s emigration is listed in the Stockholm Emigrantlistor for 1895. Did not copy. What information does this contain? Death is recorded in Manistee Record of Deaths, Liber 3, p. 61 From Kerstin Farm: “I live in a different part of the town Sundsvall than Johanna did. She lived south of the city in an area called Kubikenborg, an area with many saw mills. Here is what I could gather today: On 12 Sept 1884 she is registered in the movement papers coming from Arnås Ångermanland 112 miles from Sundsvall. Ångermanland lies right to the north of Medelpad. There are no hints of any parents. Karl Erik Eriksson born 14 June 1859 is registered in the same papers but one year earlier.” 1953 obituary: “Mrs. Hannah Erickson Dies: Mrs. Hannah Erickson of Eastlake died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ben Keezer of Detroit, which whom she had been making her home for the past six months.
