Her mother died in child birth and she was raised by Pat and Amy Hillier Dewey. She married Doyle H Sleight on Dec 28, 1938 in Randolph, UT and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Dec 11, 1942. They had five children: Karen, D. Wayne, Scott Thomas, Pamela G, and R. Paul.Jennie had a beautiful soprano voice and loved to sing. She participated in the Star Valley High School Opera and sung at various time throughout her life. She was a loving mother and wonderful friend to all she knew. She worked along side her husband in their General Store in Geneva and was also the Geneva Postmaster for 34 years. She loved people and was involved in many ward and stake leadership callings as well as local activities.
