OBERREIDENBACH is a village perhaps 20 miles northwest from the area around WALDGREHWEILER, from which most of the other Urbana, Indiana pioneers migrated. Oberreidenbach is more likely to have been in that part of the Palatinate ruled by the Kingdom of Prussia, rather than that part ruled by the Kingdom of Bavaria.

Oberreidenbach is a municipality of about 600 souls. It is located in a side valley of the upper Nahe River.

"White Creek's" interest in the Haupert family is in the descent of the branch of the family who migrated to Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and Wabash County, Indiana. And the other Palatine families they inter-married with, including LOWER / LAUER.
