Joel Russell Clough, a Clear Lake resident since 1928, passed away at his home October 23 of a heart attack. Born June 30, 1883 at Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mr. Clough was a retired railroad conductor from the Great Northern Railway Co. He was married to Ethel Knott at Redwood Falls, Minnesota, November 28, 1911. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge of Clear Lake and also the Brotherhood of Trainmen at Wilmar, Minnesota. Funeral services were held Monday, October 26, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Lemley mortuary. Rev. George Welch of Clear Lake officiated and interment was in the Sedro-Woolley cemetery. Surviving are his wife Ethel and two sons, . . .; one daughter, . . .; one sister, Mrs. Florence Abel of Port Orchard and six grandchildren.
