In 1807, Job Whitney and wife Abigail of Watertown, Jefferson County, NY, by attorney, sign a receipt for Abigail's legacy from her father Capt. Asa Rice of Guilford. She was clearly the daughter of his unknown first wife. Knowledge of her is limited.
