Physical Characteristics of various Scoville lines

Thick dark eyebrows and hair. My dad and my brother both died at 61 and still had black hair. I am the only one that still looks like Redford. Also large ears. I am 5'3" black hair, hazel eyes and dark skin. One sister is 4'10".

My grandfather (mother was a Scoville) had black hair and only had a few gray hairs when he died at age 84. He was also dark-complexioned with dark eyes. His mother was the same as was my great-grandfather. The oral tradition is that we have Native-American ancestry (great-grandma Scoville said so). Great-grandma Scoville had long, black hair, dark skin & dark eyes, as did her father, Charles. What is interesting the rest of Charles' brothers and sisters were not as dark as he was. His brother William had light hair, but dark skin. My third great-grandfather, Franklin Scoville, seems fair of skin. The photo of him was probably taken in the 1870's or 1880's. His seems to have high cheekbones. Photos of Milo Scoville and another I can't think of right now, they seem to have cheekbones -but I don't know if that's the reason or if they lost their teeth! That and age sometimes gives the appearance of the cheekbones being higher than they really are.

All were on the tall side. Here is a rundown of what I know: My great-great uncle Albert Scoville was "about" 6'7" and lean-my grandmother said he always had to duck to enter or exit a room (and no, the houses were not smaller). Albert's sister Agnes (my g. grandmother) was 5'8" (tall for a woman then-1859-1948) and on the "large" side. Charles M. Scoville, (g.g. grandfather) was 5'10", his brother William was 6'4"-both lean. Now me, I'm 5'3" and fair-must take after the Swedish side!

John-John-Reuben-Marshall) were tall, light brown hair, blue eyes, and fair-skinned. Also seemed to be on the thin to medium build side.

My mother-in-law was Margaret Elizabeth Scovell (17/12/1911-15/4/2000)born Lewiston, Niagara, NY, the daughter of Josiah Boardman Scovell (1/12/1869-24/1/1960) son of Oliver Perry Scovell (24/3/1820-25/3/1912). Margaret Elizabeth was very beautiful with high cheek bones and beautiful peaches and cream skin even into her 80's. Josiah had a roundish face but pictures of his father, Oliver Perry, show a stern man with thin face and high cheek bones. All had blue eyes, light hair and very fair skin.

My grandmother had very dark hair and dark brown eyes, as do my mother and her brother and sister. High cheekbones, well..... I don't think so. That would be James, Elias, William, Elizabeth line.

My grandfather Scoville had black hair, brown eyes and light olive skin. He was tall--six feet--and remained lean all of his eighty years on a diet of meat and potatoes. His daughter-my mother-had brown hair, hazel eyes, fair tannable skin. Her mother had brown hair, light blue eyes, and fair skin. I had very dark brown hair, blue eyes, and light olive skin. Unfortunately my mother and I did not inherit the leanness.

I am 5' 1' and my sister is shorter than me. What about the chins? My Scovil family had large prominent chins.
