Joanne Louise Wood, 79, of Penn, Pa., passed away April 2, 2023 at her home. She was born October 25, 1943 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Andrew and Bessie (Loughner) Schwirian. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Ernest and Phillip. Prior to retirement Joanne was employed as a housekeeper at Briarcliff Pavilion. She was a member of the Full Bible Church and a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. She is survived by her son John Wood (Jan) and daughter Michele Wolf and her husband John, grand-children Sarah, Britney, Kyle, Kayla, Emma, and Jenna and great-grandchildren Isabella, Ashley and Chaplin due in May. Brother Richard A. Schwirian (Darla) and Sister Loretta Martin (Tom).
