Facts and Events
Name Joab SHORES
Gender Male
Birth[1][4] Abt 1770 Somerset County, Maryland [?]
Marriage to Esther Miller
Death[2][5] Bef 1 Jun 1820 Somerset County, Maryland [?]

From existing evidence, the author infers that Sarah MILLER was living in the household of Thomas SHORES (1735-1804) in the 1800 US Census, Maryland, Somerset Co., with her son, Thomas MILAR SHORES, under 10 years of age. Esther and Thomas MILAR were also beneficiaries in the will of Thomas SHORES in 1804. The author further infers that Joab SHORES was the father of Thomas MILAR SHORES and another son of Thomas SHORES (1735-1804), although he was apparently not in the household at the time of the 1800 US census, nor is he mentioned in Thomas SHORES' will. No record has been found of a marriage between Esther MILLER and Joab SHORES, and the reference in Thomas SHORES' will to Esther MILLER leads me to think there was no marriage. However, no proof has been found that Joab was, indeed, a son of Thomas.
