"I really did not discuss with JoAnn to any extent why she left you and Michael. It was something she did not want to talk about. She was distraut that she had left you. One night when we were out she brought it up (long time after we were married). Prior to that I had no knowledge of her earlier marriage and you two. She cried about it and it was something she had to get off her chest. (She was seeing her therapist.) She had problems at home as a teenager and she was bitter. Her mother was running with the movie crowd and had married and divorced several times. She was looking for a happy family life-away from all the agruments and frustrations she experienced growing up. That eluded her. When we got married she still had some anger and frustrated with life, but after a few years she settled down and that anger left her. However, she still carried the regrets of her earlier days. I have not tried to contact her thearpist. I don't know if she is still around her. Anyway I will make an effort to do so."
