Gr-granddaughter of Benajah Williams (1789-1864) and Jerusha Stanley Smith (1791-1871), his wife, m. 1808. Gr-gr-granddaughter of Isaiah Williams (1764-1853) and Ann Mathison (1767-1842), his wife. Gr-gr-gr-granddaughter of Joseph Williams and Hannah Fuller (1727-1817), his wife. Joseph Williams (1725-1808) served as major in the Vermont militia at Pownal, when the Council of Safety at Bennington ordered him to march with his troops to that place, 1777. He was born in Stonington, Conn.; died in Cazenovia, N. Y.
