Jessie was born 15 January 1883. Her mother, Martha A. Fordyce, was married 15 May 1883 to Melchior Elsenhans. They divorced and Martha was married 6 June 1884 to William Franklin Fordyce. Neither man was Jessie's father. Jessie's father is unknown. Jessie was 1 1/2 when her mother married Fordyce, and she used her step-father's surname until she married George Krinn in 1903.
