Was unmarried and living in Redlands at the time of Mattie’s death. Her brother, Maurice’s obit (1983) showed her as Jessie Blagden of Smith River. Jessie followed her brother Pierce to northern California, married and remains the only one living. From her obituary: Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Harry Knitter of Cave Junction, son Wayne Blagden and his wife Carol of Brookings; granddaughter Lynn Martire of Pittsburgh Pa.; Heidi Blagden of Brookings; Jennifer Richey and her husband Mark of Burns; grandson Mark and his wife Melissa of Ashland.
