This is the last Will and Testament of me Jesse Webb of Bearsted in the county of Kent Gentleman made the thirty first day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Three. First I revoke and make void all former Wills and Testaments by me made and of this my last will and testament so constitute and appoint my nephew Jesse Webb of Bearsted aforesaid Farmer son of my brother Richard Webb of the same place Farmer sole Executor. Also I give and bequeath unto my nephew Jesse Webb the legacy or sum of four hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain Also I give unto my nephew Richard Webb son of my said brother Richard Webb the legacy or sum of one hundred pounds of like lawful money Also I give and bequeath unto my neices Mary Ducksbury Manwaring Jane Butts Ann Foreman Elizabeth Webb and Sarah Webb children of my said Brother Richard Webb the legacy or sum of twenty pounds apeice of like lawful money. And I will and direct that the several legacies herein before bequeathed shall be paid in six calendar months next after my decease. And it is my will and I do hereby direct that nothing herein contained shall re--- or forgive or be construed to re--- of forgive the debt of three hundred pounds owing to me by my said nephews Jesse Webb and Richard Webb on their promissory It being my intention that that debt as well as a debt of three hundred and fifty pounds owing to me by James Bowyer? Pluckley on his promissory note shall be -------- and applied in and towards payment of the several legacies hereinbefore bequeathed And I give and bequeath all the Residue of my personal estate and effects whatsoever which shall remain and be left after payment of my just debts legacies funeral charges the costs and charges of proving this my will and other incident expenses unto my said nephew Jesse Webb to and for his own use and benefit In witness whereof I the said Jesse Webb the testator here hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written Jesse Webb Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses R L? Brockman Edwd Geo Budds Proved at London 5th July 1824 before the judge by the oath of Jesse Webb the nephew the sole executor for whom administration was granted being first sworn by commission duly to administer.
