"1. Jesse Lambert died in the autumn of 1718. He married/1 10 May 1688 (Milford Vital Records) Deborah Fowler who was baptized New Haven 1 June 1658 dau of Capt. William and Mary (Tapp). He married/2 Mrs. Joanna (Buckingham) Watkins who was born 4 December 1667 (Milford Vital Records) dau of Samuel and widow of Joseph Watkins of Stratford, Conn. She married/3 24 November 1726 (Milford Vital Records) Samuel Camp of Newark, N. J. He came to Milford in 1680 as an after planter."
