- 1865, Blount County TN Deed: Baumgardner, David from Jesse Kerr, Jr., Deed Book BB, pg. 778-779.
- I Jesse Kerr jr. this day Bargained and sold and as hereby Transfer and convey to David Bumgardner and his heirs or assigns for Ever for an in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid the Receipt of which is hereby adknowledged a certain piece or Parsall [Parcel] of land known as a part of the Hallaway Lands containing one Hundred acres by the same more or less and Boundered as Fallows to wit: Beginning on a fine on the Top of the Ridge thence a strait line to a small Buckeye on the East side of the Branch that Runs from the Halloway House to Briants thence Dantan? said Branch on said East side to a stake __ Briants fence on said Ghanifisairn? Britnas line thence with said line west to t post oak the conditional corner between said land and the part to sold off to John Goforth then with said conditionial line being a strait line a N.W. course to a small Walnut on the Indians Boundrey, line thence with said Indian Boundry, line to ___ is called the Supisry? Spring thence with the land is sold Charles H. Chambers or South E. Course to hsi Rock corner by their side of the old Road then with the same as the conditional line to a stake on the Maure? __ Pugle? line south to the Beginning line to ___ and to ___ the same to the said Bumgardner his heirs or assigns for Ever with the appurtenances and Every Part thereof I do Covenent with the said Bomgardner that same Lawfully seized of said land have again Right to convey it and tht the same is unemcumbered __ further ___ my self my heirs and Representatives to ___ the title to the said Bumgardner his heirs and assigns from one my heirs or assigns forever.
