Jesse was educated at Jefferson Medical college, and practiced medicine at Warriors Mark, PA until marrying Sarah Walton. They moved to the Kansas Territory, where he met an early death in 1872. There are no records of the untimely death of Jesse. It is likely he was killed in the post Civil war upheaval that persisted for many years following the war that ended in 1865.
