Facts and Events
Name[1] Jesse Edenfield
Gender Male
Birth? 7 Oct 1754 South Carolina, United States
Death? Bet 1871 and 1880

Jesse served in the war of 1812 from 9 Jul 1812 to 27 Nov 1812, as a private under Captain Alexander Curry and was honorably discharged at Beaufort, SC. In a Declaration of Solder for Pension application, dated 12 May 1871, Jesse stated that his wife's name was Elizabeth Phillips and that they were married on 29 Dec 1809 at Buford's Budge, Barnwell Co., SC. Huxford and other have stated that Elizabeth's maiden name was Creech but according to this statement by Jesse she was a Phillips. William Phillips received $94.58 from David Edenfield's Estate, a full child's share. I think that William was probably Elizabeth's brother and signed for the money for Jesse and Elizabeth. He was a Justice of the Peace. William was 58 years old in the 1860 census for Emanuel county and stated that he was borned in N. Carolina. Elizabeth was also borned in N. Carolina according to the 1850, 1860 and 1870 census. More research is needed.
