    File 2692: Jerusha A. Kelton.

Will of "Jerusha A. Kelton of Williamsburg of Kings County and State of New York", dated 27 Aug 1855, filed 5 Sep 1855, proved 9 Oct 1855, names husband Merril Kelton; brother Simeon A. Field and his wife; brother Charles P. Field; brother Horace F. Field and his wife; sister Eliza Groves and husband Wyman Groves; sister Adaline and her husband James Merriam; sister Sarah Holton and Horace Holton Jr.; daughters of my brothers and sisters [not named]. Brother Simeon A. Field to be executor.

  5. The will says Jerusha is of Williamsburg, but probate documents call her late of Northfield. The deaths of Jerusha and her father occurred very close together, her father in July and Jerusha in August. So things get confused, and it is believed that she is considered of Northfield only because of the property that was coming to her in her own right from her father, and not as an indication of where her death occurred. The heirs appear to be her brothers and sisters, so no children (Pierce says "s. p.", sin prole, no issue).
