    Jens Martin Peterson, age 95 years of East View Lodge, Neepawa passed away at Neepawa Memorial Hospital Auguest 2, 1985.
    Born in Langaa Viborg, Denmark January 23, 1890. He immigrated to Canada in 1912 where he took up residence in Glen Smith (Kelwood). In his early years Jens cut cordwood and was a blacksmith, but due to illness he left the profession and took up farming in the Kelwood district until the time of his retirement. He spent the last 7 years of his life at East View Lodge in Neepawa. He was an avid curler and fisherman, also a member of the Kelwood Legion.
    He was predeceased by three wives, Johanna 1913, Mary 1918, Hilda 1969.
    He is survived by three children Clifford Fox, Kelwood, Mary (Hengen) Sundre, Alberta and Thelma (Spafford) of Riding Mountain, 24 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Dorothy Bridgeman of Vernon, B.C., Harvey Middleton Carberry and Edith McFarlane, Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and their children, also numerous nieces and nephews.
    Funeral Service was officiated by Elizabeth McKinlay on August 5, 1985 at 2:00 p.m. in Kelwood United Church.
    Interment followed at Kelwood cemetery.
    Neill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
