Facts and Events
Gran was adopted in 1901 by James and Jane Campbell in Lancaster, England. She lived all her life in the Glasgow/Edinburhg area of Scotland. Gran was able to locate her biological mother and 2 1/2 sisters, Ethel and Nellie. Nellie's last name was Greenhaugh. Ethel had 2 children - Billy and Joan. All were located in Hamilton, Ontario. Gran corresponded with Nellie for 40 years and visited once. She never met her mother. Gran and her mother Jane both use the name McNaught on some of their legal documents. My grandmother also named her daughter Jean McNaught McKenzie. Gran also passed on the family bible to me with the inscription "to my loving wife, John McNaught - 1871". We do not know of this McNaught connection.
