JENNIFER L. MCBRIDE
“LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND GREAT-GRANDMOTHER”
Jennifer L. McBride, 66, of James Creek, where she has resided since 1979, went to be with The Lord unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2016, at her residence. Born December 12, 1949 in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of the late Darl James Yeamans and Mary Margaret (Mountain) Yeamans. She was united in marriage to Samuel P. McBride in 1967, in Entriken, PA. Mr. McBride preceded her in death on November 2, 2014.
She is survived by three sons, Michael D. McBride of Indianapolis, IN, Jason M. McBride and his wife, Mary Ellen, and Adam W. McBride and his wife, Sara, all of James Creek. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Amber, Ozias, Colton, Caitlin, Jack and Samuel; and one great-grandson, Jamal.
Mrs. McBride was a member of the Abbey Reformed United Church of Christ, Huntingdon.
She attended public schools in Buffalo, NY and Tussey Mountain in Saxton, where she was a 1968 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School.
Mrs. McBride was a homemaker who cherished her family and loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren, whom referred to her as “Mimi”. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, cooking, baking, and decorating her home for the holidays. She also appreciated nature, which included hummingbirds and tending to her flowers.
Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, and from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday, October 19th, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Scott Decker officiating. Interment will be in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Walker Township, Huntingdon.
