Obituary Aug 2001 Jennie Marie Richey, 92, Windsor Estates, died at 10 P.M. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at her residence. Born Sept. 5, 1908, in Tillman County, Okla., she was the daughter of Harry C. and Ella (Pasdauh) Murphy. She was married in Tipton County on March 10, 1928, to Raymond Richey, Who preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1971. She was employed in the bookbinding department at Humphrey Printing for many years. From 1970 until retiring, she was employed in sales at the Jo-Ann Fabric Shop. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren where she sang in the choir and belonged to the Ladies' Aid. She was a loving and caring mother who enjoyed sewing and crocheting for family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Harold Richey and his wife Patty, and Roger Richey, all of Kokomo; five daughters, Erma Hoover and her husband, Phillip of Tipton, Marie Newlin, Marjorie Butts, Doris Pyle and her husband, Jerry, all of Kokomo, and Maxine Myers and her husband, Truman of Kokak, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren, Lynda Shuck, Randy Hoover, Rebecca Newlin, Janet Morgan, Nancy Smith, Jill Bird, laura Moore, David Butts, Julie Van Horn, Debra Russeau, Dean Pyle, Scott Pyle, Betsy Haberfield, and Amanda Milburn; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Florence Clevenger of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Don Richey; one grandson, joe Newlin; one granddaughter, Lisa Newlin; three brothers and two sisters. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at the Fenn & Shirley Mortuary, Colonial Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Paul Enocks officiating. Furial will follow in the Nevada Cemetery, Tipton County. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
