Mrs. Jemima's Keith's Will was probated March Term 1836, in Roane County, Tennessee. A transcript of her will is as the following: “In the March term 1837 p. 358, Jemima Keith's Will In the name of God, Amen I Jemima Keith of the County of Roane and State of Tennessee being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in manner following first I give and bequeath to my daughter Dinitia Keith one bed & furniture and one cow and calf and the privilege of living with her brother Middleton on the place so long as she may live single. I give and bequeath to my son Middleton Banistor Keith all the rest of my moveable property and also my part of forty acres of land lying and being in Morgan County and State of Tennessee Reserving to my self out of my property my maintenance and privilege of living with my son Middleton during natural life if I choose having hertofore provided for all my other children by giving them what I considered their equal share I don't allow them any part of what may remain of my estate at my decease and for the execution of this my last will and testament I constitute and appoint my well beloved son Middleton B. Keith executor and William Hester Junior executor hereby revoking all wills by me formerly made in testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of October 1836.
